Family Lose Home in Monday Evening Fire near Caulfield

West Plains, Mo. – A Caulfield family lost their home in a fire Monday evening. The Caulfield Membership Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 4:26 p.m.

As fire crews arrived on the scene, a 5th wheel camper was fully engulfed in flames. Crews from Caulfield, Bakersfield Fire, Howell Rural fire departments and Howell-Oregon Electric banded together to fight the flames but the camper was a total loss. Fire crews cleared the scene at 6:10 p.m.

No injuries or loss of life were reported as a result of the fire.

Individuals who are seeking to help the family will be able to donate to a collection station from 2pm to 4pm today at the Caulfield Fire Station. Sizes that are needed include:

  • Women’s- XL size 9 shoes
  • Men’s- Large Shirts, 36×34 pants
  • Definitely need size 10&1/2 boots
  • Sanitary items, blankets, clothing, non perishable food, an possibly pet food
