West Plains, Mo. – A vehicle had caught fire in the parking lot of The Ranch House in West Plains. Emergency crews with the West Plains Fire Department responded to the fire and extinguished the blaze by 8:40a.m.
Witnesses report hearing a loud popping sound and a column of black smoke appearing around 8:00 a.m

The owner of the vehicle reported that something in the engine compartment had caught fire as he traveled into West Plains. He then pulled off the road and called 9-1-1. Firefighters had the fire extinguished and begun clean-up work by 8:40 a.m.
