BROCKWELL, Ark. — Several students from Izard County Consolidated recently entered essay contests sponsored by the local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
Allan Densford (9th grade) won first place overall in The Voice of Democracy contest for his recorded entry.

Eliza Cherry (7th grade) won first place overall in the Patriot’s Pen essay contest.
Josie Morgan (7th grade) placed third overall and Davidlee Plata (8th grade) was fourth overall.
