Howell County reports 99 new COVID-19 cases

The Howell County Health Department reports an additional 99 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county.  This brings the year to date total number of cases to 1,244. Currently, there are 275 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 275, twenty are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.

Of the new cases: 64 reside in West Plains, 15 live in Mountain View, nine live in Willow Springs, four live in Pomona, three live in Caulfield, one lives in Pottersville, one lives in Moody, one lives in Bakersfield, and one lives in Peace Valley.

Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. Of the new cases; 45 are considered community spread, where the source of the infection is unknown, and 54 cases that have been linked to previously identified cases.
