Hartville man in serious condition from Wednesday morning crash

Hartville, Mo. – A Hartville man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday morning. According to the Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 5, five miles south of Hartville at 7:48 a.m.

A southbound 1997 Ford F150 driven by Jacob Jones, 21 of Hartville, ran off the right side of the roadway, overturning and striking a tree. Jones suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment. Jones had been wearing his safety device.
