Doris Louise Harris

Doris Louise (Haney) Reece-Harris of Mountain View, Missouri, passed away, Tuesday, June 7, 2022, after a long illness. She was 81 years old and was born February 2, 1941, to the late Willard Ned Haney and Cora Pauline Baker, in Beaverdam, North Carolina. Doris was united in marriage to Michael Harris on October 12, 1989, in Mountain View, Missouri.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Harris of the home; seven children, Jackie Ellett (Zyvonne) of Springfield, MO, Lisa Walker of Poplar Bluff, MO, Kevin Reece (Elizabeth) of Balsam, NC, Rhonda Crowell (Gordon) of Springfield, MO, Melanie Workes (Kirby) of Sarcoxie, MO, Joshua Harris (Amber) of Ozark, MO, and Joseph Harris (Amanda) of Ozark, MO; two sisters, Sue Nuttall of Tennessee and Kelliene McGinnis of Springfield, MO; one brother, Sandy Haney of Georgia; 21 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.

Doris is preceded in death by her late husband, Jack Reece; her parents; three sisters, JoAnne Henson, Norma Ruth Furlong, and Veda Jo Haney; and one brother, Carroll Haney.

She was a kind and loving mother and grandmother. She loved to attend church, read the Bible, and her fur baby, Fanci. Doris was a hard worker, who enjoyed pulling tractors, gardening, farming, and traveling. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, with Pastor Eric Tripp officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022, also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Veterans Cemetery, Mountain View.
