Albert Pujols Joins 700 Home Run Club On Friday Night

St. Louis Cardinals star Albert Pujols joined the 700 home run club after he hit two homers against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday.

Pujols hit the home runs in back-to-back innings, hitting the first 434 feet in the third inning and the second 389 feet in the fourth inning. He is only the fourth player in Major League Baseball history to hit 700 home runs, joining Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth.

Pujols has hit 21 home runs this season giving him 18 20-homer seasons, which is the third most all time. He’s also second in career RBIs with 2,208, trailing only Hank Aaron.
