West Plains, MO. – A teen from Grandin was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Christmas Day. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Highway O, 1 1/2 miles south of Grandin at 8:28 p.m. on December 25, 2022.
A 2013 Dodge Avenger driven by Emma Whittom, age 18 of Grandin, slid off the right side of the roadway and struck a culvert. Whittom had not been wearing a seat belt and suffered moderate injuries in the crash. The driver was taken by East Carter County Ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.
