LaNora Kaye Petersen was born July 3, 1944, in Winchester, Indiana, to Jean DerVage Sr. and Goldie Jean (Roberts) Thomas. She departed this life on March 7, 2023, at Mountain View Healthcare in Mountain View, Missouri, at the age of 78.
Kaye was united in marriage to Jack Darrel Petersen on March 26, 1967, in Phoenix, Arizona, and to this union, one daughter, Jacqulyn D’Ann, was born.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jean and Goldie; her husband, Jack; sisters, Norma Rose Buckner and Bobye Lee Thompson; and brother, William Mitchell Thomas.
Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Owens and husband, Eddie; brothers, John Paul Thomas and Jean D. Thomas; sister, Brenda Dae Looper; and three grandchildren, Logan Ray Owens, Téa D’Ann Owens, and Ruger W. Owens.
Kaye will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri, with Dwayne Terry officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2-3:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Mountain View, Missouri, at a later date.
