Mountain Home, AR. – The Baxter County Sheriff’s Department in Mountain Home, AR. recently issued a statement on an individual who has been arrested while on parole due to multiple drug offenses and parole violation.
This arrest began as deputies discovered James C. Ottenberg, 45, was not residing at his designated address during a home visit on Wednesday, June 7th. Law enforcement then located Ottenberg at his girlfriend’s residence on State 201 South, where he had been living instead.
A search of Ottenberg and the residence was initiated. Various pieces of drug paraphernalia and illicit drugs were found, including methamphetamine, methadone, alprazolam, carisoprodol, tramadol, and marijuana, which is still illegal for recreational use in Arkansas. Multiple items were found additionally packaged for resale.
An arrest was performed, and charges include Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Felony Possession of Meth, Felony Possession of Methadone, Alprazolam, and Carisoprodol with Purpose of Delivery, Felony Parole Violation, and Habitual Offender.
Ottenberg is being held without bond due to his parole violation.
