The Cardinals managed just seven hits during a 3-0 loss to the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park. St. Louis went 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base during the losing effort. Miles Mikolas was charged with his fifth loss after giving up a pair of runs in seven innings of work. The Cardinals remain in last place in the NL Central at 31-and-44. The Cardinals are off to London for a weekend series against the Chicago Cubs that starts on Saturday.
