The 12th ranked Evangel Valor football team faced off with McPherson on Saturday, picking up a 17-7 victory over the Bulldogs in a defensive game on the road.
Bolivar girls and West Plains boys captured overall team titles at Saturday’s Class 4 district meet and punched their respective tickets to next week’s state championships in Columbia. And its 46 years in a row for the Zizzers Boys.
KC crushed in Denver 24-9. The first loss since 2015. Patrick Mahomes caught a stomach bug from Brittany and the kids and this game was tough to stomach for us. The Chiefs were 0 for 3 in the red zone and turned the ball over five times. For Patrick it was his first lost to Denver in 12 game and his first road loss within the division. He’s now 1-16 in AFC West road games. The Chiefs drop to 6-2 tied with Jacksonsville, Baltimore and Miami. In two weeks the Chiefs meet the Dolphins in Frankfurt Germany.
Week 11 district football. Zizzer Football will compete in Class 4-District 6 Semifinals on Friday; November 3 @ Home-Zizzer Stadium. Game time @ 7 p.m. Zizzers will play host to McDonald County.
