Missouri – The grand opening for the newly redone Fire in the Hole ride at Silver Dollar City is having its grand opening tomorrow, March 30, 2024. Silver Dollar City also now has season passes on sale, which you can find by clicking here.
The original Fire in the Hole ride opened in 1972 and had more than 25 million people ride it. Towards the end of 2023, Silver Dollar City announced the ride’s closure to open up a new version of Fire in the Hole. the new version is 5 stories high and contains all the same features as the old ride. It uses visuals and audio to tell the story of a mining town.
After recently visiting and riding the ride on Silver Dollar City’s media day, Drew Joice of Ozark Marketing Company said, ” We got the opportunity to go to Silver Dollar City and attend the opening of the new Fire in the Hole ride. The ride feels like the old ride with some more twists and turns. It’s a great time for the whole family.”
