Three Arrested on Child Abuse, Drug and Weapon Charges

On January 29, 2025, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant on a residence in northern Douglas County on Old 5 Highway near the Wright County line.
Floyd M Lansdown, Meichkala Rawlings, and Jessie Lansdown were arrested at the time the search warrant was served.
 
A warrant was issued for Floyd M Lansdown age 64 of Mansfield for Abuse or neglect of a child, 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and 10 counts of Unlawful Possession of a weapon while in possession of a controlled substance. The bond was set at $5000 cash only.
 
A warrant was issued for Meichkala L. Rawlings age 30 of Mansfield for Abuse or neglect of a child, 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and 10 counts of Unlawful Possession of a weapon while in possession of a controlled substance. The bond was set at $5000 cash only.
 
A warrant was issued for Jessie Lansdown age 36 of Mansfield for Abuse or neglect of a child, 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and 10 counts of Unlawful Possession of a weapon while in possession of a controlled substance. The bond was set at $5000 cash only.
 
Additional charges are pending for possessing a stolen firearm after it was discovered one of the firearms seized was stolen out of Christian County.
