Willow Springs Welcomes New Leadership at April Council Meeting

The City of Willow Springs held its regular council meeting on Friday, April 25, at City Hall, where newly elected officials were sworn in and several key city matters were addressed.

Mayor Adam Webb was sworn in, along with Aldermen Bryan Hogan (Ward I) and Mike Tooley (Ward II), following approval of certified election results. Outgoing Mayor Brooke Fair, Alderman Danny Bradley, and Alderman Phill Knott were honored with plaques recognizing their service.

Priority Pet Care – Make An Appointment

Alderman Jennifer Owens was appointed Mayor Pro Tem for a one-year term. The Council unanimously approved the consent agenda and heard from Christos House representatives during a proclamation recognizing April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

City Administrator Beverly Hicks recommended moving city accounts from US Bank, which is closing in May, to West Plains Bank & Trust, citing cost savings and interest benefits. The motion passed unanimously.

Discussion resumed on a proposed downtown parking ordinance, with revisions planned for May. The Council also approved appointments to the Planning & Zoning Commission and passed a resolution authorizing Mayor Webb to sign bank signature cards.

Public questions addressed included the parking ordinance timeline, bank account details, and the upcoming City Marshal vote. No action was taken on the viaduct project discussion, pending MoDOT updates.
