Touch the Truck Returns to West Plains This Week

A popular community favorite is rolling back into town this week as the City of West Plains hosts its annual Touch the Truck event on Wednesday, June 11. The free, family-friendly gathering will take place from noon to 2 p.m. at the West Plains Aquatic Center.

Designed to give children (and curious adults) a chance to explore the big vehicles they see around town, the event features a wide variety of city equipment on display. Attendees can expect to get up close with trash trucks, bucket trucks, dump trucks, police vehicles, fire engines, and more — all while meeting the people who operate them.

No registration is required, and residents of all ages are welcome to attend.

Adding to the excitement, all children ages 12 and under will receive a voucher for free entry to the Aquatic Center, good for one visit during the 2025 swim season. After checking out the trucks, families are encouraged to stick around for a swim and enjoy a cool break from the summer heat.
