SBA Offers Disaster Loans to Missouri Nonprofits and Residents Affected by Spring Storms

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced that low-interest federal disaster loans are now available to private nonprofit organizations (PNPs), homeowners, renters, and businesses in Missouri impacted by severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, and flooding that occurred from March 30 to April 8, 2025.

The disaster declaration covers 26 Missouri counties, including Douglas, Howell, Oregon, Ozark, Texas, and Webster. Eligible PNPs—such as food kitchens, homeless shelters, museums, schools, and community centers—may apply for up to $2 million in assistance to repair or replace damaged property and equipment. Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) are also available to cover working capital needs, even if the applicant did not suffer physical damage.

The deadline to apply for physical damage loans is July 22, 2025, while EIDL applications are due by February 23, 2026.
