Mountain Home Police Department Launches 2025 Citizens Police Academy

The Mountain Home Police Department, in partnership with the Citizens Police Academy, is inviting residents to participate in the 2025 Citizens Police Academy — a free, six-part educational series aimed at fostering community connection through transparency and engagement.

The sessions will be held monthly from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mountain Home Police Department, located at 650 South Street, on the following dates: August 11, September 8, October 6, November 10, and December 8. The final session will feature a graduation ceremony and Q&A.

Participants will gain firsthand insight into local law enforcement through patrol ride-alongs, use-of-force simulations, investigative procedure overviews, K-9 and SWAT demonstrations, and technology showcases. The academy also emphasizes community policing strategies.
