Flossie Jackman

Services for Flossie Jackman, 70 of West Plains, Missouri will be 11:00 am Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at the Macedonia Baptist Church with Bro. Jobe Steele officiating, visitation Monday 6-8:00pm at the church. Burial will be in the Cave Springs Cemetery under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO.

Flossie Jackman, age 70, devoted wife, mother, granny and aunt went to be with the Lord in the early morning hours of August 23, 2025.

Flossie was born on June 28, 1955 in Troy, MO. to Sylvester and Velma (Stuckey) Hammett. She was one of nine children growing up in a close family where love shaped her into the woman she became.

On September 17, 1988, Flossie was united in married to Fred Jackman. Together they shared 44 years of love and devotion, enjoying camping trips, serving faithfully in many church events, a memorable family trip to Nevada and most of all the joy of loving and spoiling their grandchildren.

Flossie will be lovingly remembered for her servants heart, especially through her devotion to helping with Operation Christmas child shoeboxes. She also enjoyed crafting, sewing, and sharing her fun loving, joking sense of humor with all who knew her. Above all, one of her greatest joys in life was being “Granny” to her beloved grandchildren.

Flossie leaves behind her loving and devoted husband, Fred, of the home. She is also survived by her daughters: Jeannette Carrell (Arthur) and granddaughter Kaylynn Stevens of West Plains, MO; Sandy Sisco of Mtn. View, AR. sons Marvin and Cheyenne Sisco and daughter Shania Sisco (Chester) along with grandsons Chester (III), Jordan, Zaxton and Cam Croney. She is also survived by her son, Randal Comia of West Plains, MO.

In addition, she is survived by her stepdaughters: Juanita Fry (Dennis) of Piedmont, MO, and their children Chad, Becky, Bobbie and Amanda; and Melinda Flores (Jesse) of Lake Charles, LA, and their sons John and Nathaniel.

Flossie was blessed with numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents Sylvester and Velma Hammett, two sisters, Lois Ann Hoffman and Elizabeth Gregory, one brother Edward Hammett; her stepson, Randy Jackman and three precious granddaughter Skylynn Sisco, Promise Sisco and Faithlynn Croney.
