Grove Spring, MO. – One 13-year-old is deceased and one 14-year-old was seriously injured in a vehicular incident that took place just last night.
Trooper Poynter of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G reports that this event happened around 7:46pm last night in Wright County on Missouri M near Grove Spring.
A 16-year-old was driving a Ford Explorer, when they travelled off the right side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting a 13 and 14-year-old pair of male occupants. The vehicle returned to the roadway and came to rest.
The 13-year-old was fatally injured, and the 14-year-old was seriously injured, requiring transport to Cox South in Springfield for treatment. The driver received minor injuries.
No one in the report was listed as wearing their safety device.
