From the Howell County Health Department:

Please help us give a warm welcome to our new Director, Justin Frazier!

We are so excited to have Justin in this position. He has served the county for 22 years as the county Environmental Specialist. With a passion for Howell County, e.g., “patient care and community health”, Justin is dedicated to making a positive impact.

Outside of the office, you can find Justin spending time with his family, attending sporting events, community events, and events at his children’s school, where he serves on the board of the Howell Valley School. Justin is active in his church, and in his spare time enjoys his hobby of hunting. We look forward to a bright future with Justin at the helm!

We asked Justin what he is most excited about. The following is his statement:
“Being named Director here at HCHD is truly an honor, and exciting to lead such a wonderful staff that is dedicated to the well-being and health of the citizens of Howell County. It is exciting to have the opportunity to help make a tangible and meaningful difference in my hometown by improving health equity and working to improve quality of life, reduce diseases, and enhance life expectancies for generations to come.

The public health landscape is constantly changing, with emerging challenges from pandemics to environmental health issues and more. Public health is a team effort. I look forward to working with a diverse group of colleagues and community partners who bring different skills and knowledge to the table, with the goal of bettering Howell County for everyone. “
