Sharp County Inmates Give Back Through 320 Hours of Community Service

ASH FLAT, Ark. — The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office has released the latest community service report for the week of Sept. 28 through Oct. 4, 2025.

According to Chief Deputy Kevin “Bart” Simpson, participants in the county’s community service program completed a total of 320 hours of work across multiple local projects.

Service hours were logged at Tri-County Recycling, Hardy Homesteaders Day, the Sharp County Courthouse, and Woodland Hill’s Dam under the direction of Coordinator Brian Watson.

The Sharp County Community Service Program allows inmates to give back to the community while paying off fines through productive labor. Officials say the initiative provides valuable assistance to local organizations and public spaces while helping participants take positive steps toward rehabilitation and responsibility.
