HLJ Foam Welcomes Arlee Home Fashions into Its Portfolio and Expands into West Plains

HLJ Foam, a leading manufacturer of foam-based consumer, industrial, and education products, has entered into a Strategic Asset Purchase Agreement with Arlee Home Fashions, Inc., a trusted name in home décor and pet products for over 50 years, a name locals have grown to trust. Through this acquisition, HLJ will integrate Arlee’s home and pet product divisions into a new subsidiary, HLJ Consumer Products, LLC, expanding its product portfolio and strengthening its retail and e-commerce reach. The company is also establishing a new manufacturing facility in Missouri to complement its Tennessee operation, boosting production capacity, supply chain efficiency, and regional employment. “We’re thrilled to welcome the Arlee team and to establish Missouri as a new hub within HLJ’s growing manufacturing footprint,” said Hector Chicas, President of HLJ Foam. Arlee’s established lines in home textiles, pet products, and soft seating will now operate under HLJ Consumer Products, benefiting from HLJ’s manufacturing and distribution capabilities. This milestone advances HLJ Foam’s vision of becoming a fully integrated, multi-facility provider across the consumer, education, industrial, and protective packaging markets.

Here is what local  VP of Operations, Gary Mann, had to say regarding the acquisition “We’re deeply grateful for the generations of dedicated employees who have built and sustained this facility over the past 33 years here in West Plains. Their hard work and pride in what they do have truly made this place special. We’re equally thankful for the ongoing support of the West Plains community, the City of West Plains, and the West Plains Industrial Development Corporation, whose partnership has helped us grow and thrive. As we begin this new chapter with HLJ Foam, we’re excited for the continued opportunities it will bring — not just for our team, but for the families and community that have stood beside us for so many years.”
