A Wright County man was arrested November 10 after authorities executed a search warrant and reportedly discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on his property.
According to a probable cause statement filed by Interim Sheriff K. Akers, the Wright County Special Operations Group served a search warrant at 8840 Highway ZZ in Mountain Grove. The warrant covered the residence and all outbuildings on the property.
During the search, officers located Wayne Goodman inside what appeared to be a converted living space within an outbuilding. A wooden box containing a crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine was found, along with a glass smoking device bearing white residue. Both items field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Goodman allegedly admitted to Corporal Shane Bryson that he had been using meth for approximately four months.
The seized substance is being sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for further analysis.
Authorities have requested an arrest warrant for Goodman on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
