Ava, MO. – An Ava man is reportedly in custody after the US Marshal Service assisted local law enforcement in apprehending him for failure to register as a sex offender, says the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
The man who was arrested is 21-year-old Christian Kizzire, who not only has a warrant for failure to register as a sex offender, but also a second warrant for Animal Neglect and Property Damage in an unrelated case.

Kizzire was initially investigated in 2024 for absconding from Missouri sex offender requirements. Kizzire is originally from Alabama, which his where is sex offender charges originate in 2017.
