Thursday Night Football’: Lions Beat the Cowboys

The Detroit Lions beat the Dallas Cowboys 44-30 on “Thursday Night Football.” Dallas got to within three points in the fourth quarter before Detroit pulled away thanks to two Jahmyr Gibbs touchdowns.

Gibbs, Detroit’s running back, picked up three touchdowns and had 43 yards on 12 carries. David Montgomery also tallied a touchdown and 60 yards rushing on six carries.

Jared Goff went 25-of-34, passing for 309 yards and a touchdown.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott went 31-of-47 passing for 376 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the loss. CeeDee Lamb, who had six catches for 121 yards, left the game in the third quarter and was ruled out with a concussion.

The Lions are now 8-5, keeping them in the hunt for a playoff spot in the NFC. The Cowboys fall to 6-6-1, decreasing their playoff odds significantly.
