Mayberry, who joined TCMH in 2022, serves as the hospital’s education director and stroke coordinator.

“TCMH is fortunate to have Jason as he has completely transformed the education program by updating policies and streamlining procedures. Additionally, he played a crucial role in enhancing our stroke program,” Courtney Owens, TCMH chief nursing officer, said. “He led the initiative to implement Rapid AI, and under his leadership, TCMH now offers top-tier stroke care and earned its stroke designation with zero deficiencies. Jason also shares his expertise with the community by providing education and increasing stroke awareness throughout the region. His leadership, dedication, and drive make TCMH a better, smarter, and healthier place.”

Kuhn-Quick, an employee at TCMH since 1999, serves as the hospital’s controller and interim human resources manager.

“Anita has greatly impacted our hospital with her hard work and leadership,” Linda Pamperien, TCMH chief financial officer, said. “She manages credentialing for the hospital, clinics, CRNAs, mid-level providers, and physicians with accuracy and professionalism. She also oversees monthly bank reconciliations, physician financials, payroll taxes, and payroll reports. Over the past two years, she has taken on payroll duties and recently added human resources responsibilities. Despite her growing workload, Anita performs at an exceptional level. She is dependable, detail-oriented, and always willing to assist with last-minute projects. Her commitment truly represents what it means to be Manager of the year.”

Mary Maloney of Mountain Grove received the Elite Employee of the Year award, which honors an employee who goes above and beyond in customer service or demonstrates exceptional WE CARE values.

Maloney, a physical therapist in the TCMH rehabilitation department, has been employed at TCMH since 2023. She was nominated by Sharon Schafer of Salem, whose husband is one of Maloney’s patients. Sharon shared that Mary played a crucial role in her husband’s recovery following a stroke and brain bleed. She noted that Mary motivates him to work harder, and he responds positively to her encouragement. “We have great respect for Mary and know that she truly cares about her patients,” Sharon said.

“Mary is a great asset to our hospital,” Ellen Willis, TCMH rehabilitation services director, said. “She has many years of experience working with diverse patient populations, and her expertise in aquatics and neurology has significantly elevated our department. She genuinely cares about her patients and is committed to helping them succeed.”

The hospital also recognized an employee who exemplified excellent customer service in 2025. Nancy Fisher, who has worked in the TCMH housekeeping department since 1999, received the Customer Service Award.

“Nancy consistently goes above and beyond for both patients and coworkers,” Amy Wilson, housekeeping director, said. “She not only performs her cleaning duties with care but also takes time to ask patients if they need anything else—and follows through. She listens to their concerns and helps them feel at ease. She truly exemplifies outstanding customer service. We are very proud of her for earning the Customer Service Award for 2025.”

Two departments were recognized as Customer Service Departments of the Year: the cardiac rehabilitation and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation departments. Led by Dana Wilson and Matthew Eskew, respectively, both departments were honored for steady and meaningful growth and for their compassionate, patient-centered approach.

“Dana and Matt’s commitment to patient-centered care, along with their positive attitudes and willingness to go the extra mile, truly makes the cardiac and pulmonary rehab experience enjoyable for both patients and staff,” Bill Bridges, TCMH chief executive officer, said.

The celebration also included a video featuring photos from throughout the year, a meal prepared by the TCMH dietary department, and numerous door prizes for employees.
