SHARP COUNTY, Ark. — Inmates participating in the Sharp County community service program completed a total of 136 cumulative service hours between Dec. 21 and Dec. 27, 2025, contributing labor to several projects across the county.
According to Chief Deputy Kevin “Bart” Simpson with the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office, community service participants assisted with duties at Tri County Recycling, the Sharp County Courthouse, and the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office. The program operates under the supervision of Coordinator Brian Watson.
The community service initiative allows eligible inmates to work off fines while giving back to the communities they serve. Officials say the program not only benefits county facilities but also provides participants with an opportunity to contribute positively through meaningful labor.
Sheriff’s Office officials expressed appreciation for the continued support of county departments involved in hosting and coordinating the service projects.
