Houston, MO. – A Houston man has been arrested after being found to have broken into a home and assaulting the victim inside, all while a protection order was in effect.
The probable cause affidavit states this took place on December 28th in the early evening. Houston PD arrived to a residence of a domestic disturbance, and an investigation revealed that John Carter, 36 of Houston, had broken into the home in a drunken state, and struck a victim multiple times in the face. Law enforcement confirmed the victim also had a protection order against Carter.
Carter is looking at two felony charges, 1st Degree Burglary and 2nd Degree Domestic Assault, and one misdemeanor, Violation of a Protection Order.
