Hollister won the tipoff and immediately got into their scoring game, starting strong at the start of the game for the tigers. Colby james made sure to answer back quickly with a couple of fast shots to bring the score back. The game remained close with some great shots made by both teams, keeping the game very close. The bears had some good opportunities from the defensive stops and rebounds that they had been getting. Bears lead strong after the end of the 1st quarter 18-10. The 2nd quarter started off with the Bears dominating the scoring. Hollister was struggling to stop the offensive pressure which caused Hollister’s coach to call an early timeout. Willow got into foul trouble early, making Hollister earn a bonus with still lots of time to go in the half. But Hollister had trouble with turnovers, earning the bears to add even more to their major lead. The bears lead at halftime 45-19, showing their dominance to make sure they won this game.
The tigers came out of the locker room strong scoring some points hoping to come back and make a difference in the game while the bears tried to find their offensive groove back. The bears got some steals in order to keep their lead secure in the game, with Hollister still trying to find ways to get back in the game. Hollister just could not stop the bears from scoring, the bears were on fire. The bears lead 57-27 at the end of the 3rd quarter, practically walking away with the win. The 4th quarter was nothing different, Hollister kept turning the ball over and the bears kept capitalizing. They surely were not putting on the brakes on their offense. The turbo clock started winding down but the bears still kept scoring, Hollister scored as well but it just wasn’t enough with the lead the bears had. The Bears end the game winning 72-34, a major win for the bears.
