The Mizzou men’s basketball team returns home to Columbia for a midweek SEC contest against Auburn on Wednesday night. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. inside Mizzou Arena and on ESPN2.

• Mizzou owns a 12-4 overall record in 2025-26.
• The Tigers have won two of their first three SEC games of the season – earning wins over Florida and Kentucky before falling at Ole Miss Saturday.
• Mark Mitchell has scored 20-plus points in back-to-back games to lead MU. Overall, the senior has team-best totals in points (17.4) and rebounds (5.3), while ranking second in assists (3.3).
• Four Tigers score in double figures with Jayden Stone (13.9), Jacob Crews (12.6) and Anthony Robinson II (11.0) following Mitchell’s lead.
• Robinson also leads the Tigers with 4.1 assists per game, while Shawn Phillips Jr. has a team-best 1.5 blocks per game.

SERIES HISTORY
• Auburn holds an 11-6 advantage over MU in 17 all-time meetings. AU has won the last five games in the series and eight of the last nine.
• Mizzou’s last win in the series came in 2020, defeating No. 11 Auburn, 85-73, in Columbia.
• Last year, second-ranked Auburn defeated MU in the conference opener, 84-68, at home.
MR. VERSATILE, MARK MITCHELL
• Mark Mitchell has led the charge for Mizzou and has started the season on an elite level.
• Mitchell is averaging a team-best 17.4 points and 5.3 boards, while ranking second with 3.3 assists.
• In fact, he is one of only 10 players in the nation (and only player in the SEC) averaging 17 points, five boards and three assists.
• The last Tiger to average 17 points, five boards and three assists was Anthony Peeler during the 1991-92 campaign.
COMPLETE GAME AT OLE MISS
• The good news is Mark Mitchell is playing his best basketball as of late and showcased his all-around game at Ole Miss on Saturday.
• Against the Rebels, Mitchell totaled 20 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. He is the first Tiger to total 20-8-7 since Kareem Rush did so 24 seasons ago on March 3, 2002 against Kansas.
LENDING A HELPING HAND
• Anthony Robinson II is the engine of the Mizzou offense as of late.
• The junior is averaging 5.6 assists over the last seven games, recording at least five helpers in six of the seven contests.
• His recent mark is nearly double his total from his first nine contests when he tallied 2.9 per game.
• In last Wednesday’s win at Kentucky, Robinson tallied a career-best 10 helpers – the most by a Tiger since Terrence Phillips had 10 in 2017.
• Overall, Robinson now ranks seventh in the SEC and 160th nationally with 4.1 assists per game.
TEAM ASSISTS
• Overall, the Tigers have done a much better job passing the ball in conference play.
• Mizzou ranks first in SEC games only with 17.67 assists per game.
• MU has recorded at least 20 helpers in back-to-back games at Kentucky (20) and Ole Miss (22).
• In fact, it marks the first time the Tigers have had consecutive games of at least 20 assists in conference play since doing so in the 2011-12 season as a member of the Big 12.
• Overall, Mizzou ranks ninth in the SEC with 15.6 assists per game.
HOME SWEET HOME
• Mizzou owns one of the top home-court advantages in the country over the last two years.
• Since the beginning of the 2024-25 season, the Tigers are 28-2 at Mizzou Arena.
• Mizzou’s 28 home wins during the last two years are the second-most in the nation, behind only George Mason with 30.
MAGIC NUMBER IS 72
• The goal on the offensive end for the Tigers this season is simply to score 72 points.
• Mizzou is a perfect 12-0 when tallying at least 72 points but are 0-4 when failing to reach the mark.
• Overall, the Tigers are averaging 81.7 points during the 2025-26 season – tallying 88.3 points in their 12 wins and 62.0 in their four defeats.
