From West Plain Fire and Rescue:
On Tuesday January 13th West Plains Fire & Rescue personnel were invited to the state capital in Jefferson City Missouri for the state of the state address, Governor Kehoe recognized these individuals for their life saving efforts during the 2025 flood.

Multiple rescues were performed that day of the 2025 flood across the county. These individuals are part of the Region G Water Rescue Team and were ready at a moments notice. On behalf of West Plains Fire & Rescue we want to thank all of West Plains Fire and Rescue personnel and other assisting agencies for always being ready at a moments notice.
