Bolivar Man Arrested in Ozark County Facing Harassment Charges

Ozark County deputies arrested Ronnie Landsdown on January 13, 2026, after he allegedly pursued a woman for several miles at high speed and later confronted her outside a Theodosia restaurant, leading to a disturbance involving multiple people.

Deputies were dispatched at 9:07 a.m. after a caller reported that Landsdown had followed his wife to the grocery store and was yelling at her in the parking lot. Deputy Ryan and another deputy arrived at 9:42 a.m., where they encountered Landsdown outside a restaurant.

Landsdown told deputies he had been driving north on Highway 5 in Douglas County when he believed a southbound driver threw an object from her window, striking and chipping his windshield. Deputies confirmed a small chip and photographed it as evidence. Landsdown said he immediately turned around, attempted to stop the vehicle, and pursued it at speeds reaching 100 mph while calling dispatch.

The pursuit continued south on Highway 5, then onto U.S. Highway 160, ending in Theodosia. Landsdown admitted he confronted the female driver while she remained in her vehicle, demanding to know what she had thrown. Employees and family members of the woman came outside, and a verbal altercation followed. According to the report, the woman’s husband threatened to fight Landsdown, who then moved toward his own vehicle intending to retrieve a chain‑style wallet to use as a weapon. The husband responded by stating he had a gun and would “just kill” Landsdown if necessary.

Deputy Ryan interviewed the woman, her passenger, and witnesses at the restaurant. Their statements were consistent: they said Landsdown abruptly turned around on the highway, followed them dangerously close, and continued pursuing them at high speed. The driver told deputies she feared for her and her daughter’s safety and contacted her husband during the pursuit.

After comparing statements and evidence, deputies determined that Landsdown was the primary aggressor. He has been charged with:

  • Harassment in the First Degree
  • Careless and Imprudent Driving

Landsdown was taken into custody at the scene, transported to the Ozark County Jail. Deputies also collected video footage of the altercation and advised witnesses to complete voluntary statements.
