Sergeant Eddie Young from the Missouri State Highway Patrol pushes the statement further: 

Sergeant Young went on to state that Troop G are actively working multiple accidents across their Troop area.

This event serves as a good warning for the potential upcoming weather this weekend, where officials warn that a winter weather advisory is in effect for Friday night, all of Saturday, and Sunday morning.
