Adult softball season is right around the corner in West Plains. All adult softball team managers are invited to attend the upcoming Coaches Meeting, scheduled for Friday, April 24 at 5:30 p.m. at the Jimmie Carroll Sports Complex. The meeting will cover key topics for the upcoming season. Beginning this December, West Plains will take another step forward in its proud wrestling tradition, hosting a brand-new tournament that will bring together top programs from Missouri and Arkansas. The event will carry a name that already means so much to the community, the Dan Taylor Wrestling Classic.
Lady Zizzer Soccer Camp June 8th to the 11th. 2nd grade to 6th grade camp is 5pm to 630pm. 7th grade to 12th grade is 630 to 8pm. Cost is 30 dollars per player register now through the West Plains athletic department or sign up the day of the camp.
Liberty HS golf team went to Salem MO for the Salem Invitational. Liberty played amazingly and won the match by 21 strokes! Brady Altermatt came in second and Blayne Altermatt finished in fourth. Cooper Holden finished ninth. Blaydon Wilkins finished with his best score of year, and Ethan Thall played in his first 18-hole meet at a course he has never seen before and did extremely well.
In High School Tennis, Liberty Eagles won their match over West Plains 8-1.
