Funeral Services for Stephanie Joan Carpenter, Age 59 of Hartshorn, Missouri will be held on Friday, April 17th, 2026 at The Liberty Faith Church, Norwood, Missouri, beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the service in The Hosea Cemetery, Knobel, Arkansas.
Arrangements under the direction of The Bradford Funeral Home, Summersville, Missouri.
Stephanie Joan Carpenter went to Heaven, her final home at 1:45 pm Saturday April the 11th, 2026. Stephanie was born on January 14th, 1967, in Troy, Missouri, to Curtis and Janet Reynolds. She grew up on a farm in Missouri alongside her sisters.
Stephanie married Shawn Carpenter on June 9th, 1984. Together, they had 10 children and did their best to raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. They had been married 29 years when Shawn went to be with the Lord.
Stephanie had trusted the Lord as her Savior, and her greatest desire was that all her children would do so also.
A woman of many talents and hobbies, Stephanie was a devoted homemaker. She also enjoyed traditional hide tanning, creating natural dyes for wool and yarn, wild-crafting, and growing herbs to make medicinal salves and oils. She was a gifted pianist who taught her children to sing from an early age. She enjoyed singing with her family at church and various community events. Stephanie attended Liberty Faith Church in Norwood, MO.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Shawn Carpenter; her daughter, Abigail Cochran; and her father, Curtis Reynolds.
Left behind are her mother, Janet Reynolds; her sisters, Katherine Gebhardt (Michael), Elizabeth Patnode (Brian), Rebecca McFadden (Kevin), Jenny Middlebrooks (Daniel);
her children, Abigail’s husband, Ben Cochran, Hannah Boling (Darrell), Deborah Carpenter, Anna Lewis (Nathan), Ruthie Carpenter, Naomi Houghton (Josh), Samuel Carpenter, Jared Carpenter (Lauren), Esther Davidson (Ethan), and Luke Carpenter; her grandchildren, Wyoming, Chloe, Jesse, Joseph, John, Shawn, Alena, Mylah, Sierra, Carson, Wyatt, Steven, Barrett, Jeremiah and Bethany; aunts and uncles, Joan Russel, Sheila Baldwin, Cliff Reynolds (Henrietta) and Allen Reynolds, as well as, brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Stephanie’s memory may be made to the Hosea Cemetery.
