West Plains, MO. – Drug Take Back Day is April 25th, and the Howell County Sheriff’s Office has made an announcement regarding this nationally recognized date.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is this Saturday April 25th, 2026- and itโs your chance to safely get rid of medications you no longer need. Bring them into the Howell County Sheriff’s Office Lobby and place your unwanted pills into the red drug take back box located in the lobby. You can drop off any pills at 1106 Missouri Ave West Plains, MO 65775. We will also have additional staff available this Saturday day to assist during the Take Back Day.

YES, WE WILL TAKE: PRESCRIPTIONS, PRESCRIPTION PATCHES, PERSCRIPTION MEDICATIONS, OVER THE COUNTER MEDICATIONS, VITAMINS, MEDICINE SAMPLES AND MEDICATIONS FOR PETS.
