The Royals couldn’t complete the sweep Sunday night, falling to Detroit 6-3 at Kauffman Stadium. Kansas City battled back from an early three-run deficit to tie the game, but rookie Gage Workman’s two-run homer in the sixth put the Tigers back in front for good. Maikel Garcia had three hits, while the top of the Royals lineup combined for seven hits in the loss. Kansas City has still won seven of its last ten games.
