YELLVILLE, Ark. — The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has released its weekly activity report for the week ending October 3, outlining calls for service, investigations, and jail operations across the county.
According to the report, deputies responded to 95 calls for service during the week. Among those were 10 wellness checks and two domestic incidents. Deputies made two misdemeanor arrests and reported no felony arrests.
Deputies also assisted with or investigated two motor vehicle accidents and completed 22 incident reports. The department logged 60 hours of bailiff duty, and one deputy completed 40 hours of field training.
The Criminal Investigation Division opened one new felony case, conducted four interviews related to ongoing investigations, and initiated two death investigations. Investigators also participated in six investigative conferences throughout the week.
At the Marion County Detention Center, staff booked 14 inmates and released 13, ending the week with 42 inmates in custody.
