Marion County Sheriff’s Office Weekly Report for August 2-8

MARION COUNTY, Ark. — The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has released its activity report for the week ending Friday, August 8. Deputies responded to a total of 81 calls for service during the week.

Among those calls, deputies conducted one wellness check and handled two domestic incidents. Law enforcement made a total of eight arrests, including six misdemeanor arrests and two felony arrests.

Deputies also assisted and/or investigated three accidents and completed 15 incident reports. Court-related duties accounted for 54 bailiff hours and 64 hours spent serving as trial witnesses.

Investigators executed two search warrants related to ongoing theft investigations and conducted eight interviews in connection with active cases.

At the Marion County Detention Center, 15 inmates were booked, 18 were released, and the week ended with a total of 45 inmates in custody.

The Sheriff’s Office continues to encourage residents to report suspicious activity and to contact law enforcement with any concerns.
