Yellville, AR – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has released its weekly activity report for the week ending May 23, detailing a range of law enforcement efforts and community involvement.
Deputies responded to a total of 79 calls for service throughout the week. Among these, deputies conducted four wellness checks and responded to one domestic disturbance. Law enforcement made six misdemeanor arrests and six felony arrests, reflecting ongoing efforts to address criminal activity within the county.
Deputies were also active on local roadways, responding to or assisting with six vehicle accidents and completing 21 incident reports. In support of the local judiciary, the office provided 17 hours of bailiff duty at the courts during the week.
In addition to their regular duties, members of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office—including deputies and administrative staff—participated in the Special Olympics Torch Run, demonstrating their continued commitment to community support and involvement beyond law enforcement responsibilities.
The Criminal Investigation Division reported that four new felony investigations were opened. Investigators conducted 11 interviews in connection with ongoing cases, initiated two death investigations, and executed one search warrant. A collaborative investigative conference was also held with the Deputy Prosecuting Attorney.
At the Marion County Detention Center, 21 individuals were booked, 17 were released, and the facility concluded the week with a total inmate population of 47.
