Marion County Sheriff’s Weekly Report: 81 Calls for Service, Death Investigation Opened, 17 Bookings Made

YELLVILLE, Ark. — The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has released its weekly activity report for the week ending August 1, 2025, highlighting the department’s call volume, arrests, and ongoing investigations.

Deputies responded to 81 calls for service, including:

  • 5 wellness checks

 

  • 1 domestic disturbance

 

  • 2 misdemeanor arrests

 

  • 3 vehicle accidents

 

In addition, deputies filed 22 incident reports and logged 15 bailiff hours for court support.

Investigators conducted 12 interviews tied to ongoing cases, opened one new death investigation, and executed a search warrant related to a prior death case. Two investigative conferences were also held with the Deputy Prosecuting Attorney.

The Marion County Detention Center processed 17 new bookings, released 10 inmates, and ended the week with 48 individuals in custody.
