Authorities received information that Jones might be traveling in a Chevrolet truck along Highway 9 south of Melbourne. Deputies responded to the area and located the vehicle near the Twin Creek area. The vehicle later turned onto Mt. Olive Road, where deputies initiated a traffic stop.

Jones was detained without incident while deputies awaited the arrival of state police agents and confirmation of the warrant. After confirmation, he was taken into custody and transported to the Izard County Jail.

He is currently being held pending extradition to Texas.

All charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
