Alton, MO – A two-vehicle ATV crash ended with one person in serious condition and another person arrested on Saturday, July 3 2021. The crash occured near 113 and AA Highway in Oregon County around 6:45 pm. A Polaris ATV driven by Christopher Brown, 48 of Alton, was stopped and rear-ended by another Polaris ATV driven by Deidre Axelsen, 48 of Alton.
Axelsen suffered serious injuries in the crash and was air lifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Brown was arrested on misdemeanor charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Suspended. Trooper A. Falterman of the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the incident.
