At 1:41 p.m. on Thursday, July. 3, 2025, resident Jones, Arlen DOC No. 1298975, was
pronounced dead at South Central Correctional Center medical unit in Licking, MO.

Jones was an 86-year-old resident serving a 30-year sentence for three counts of first
degree statutory sodomy of person under 14 years of age resulting in serious physical
injury from Mississippi County. Jones was received in the Missouri Department of
Corrections on May 3, 2016.
Jones died of apparent natural causes.
