Two Juveniles And One Female Injured After Hay Bale Falls On Top Of Their Car From Passing Trailer

West Plains, MO. – Two juvenile males and one female were injured after a hay bale from a passing trailer fell on top of their vehicle.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the incident occurred on August 15, 2024, at 1:48 p.m. on MO 14, 10 miles west of West Plains. 25-year-old Tanner Hoover was traveling eastbound in a 2019 Ford F250 pulling a trailer full of hay bales and 28-year-old Kaela Wheat was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze westbound when a hay bale landed on top of her car. Wheat, a 3-year-old male juvenile, and a 10-year-old male juvenile were all injured in the incident and were transported to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment.
