Two people were injured in an accident in the early morning hours of New Years Day. The accident happened one mile wet of Van Buren on Highway 60 when a 2026 Chevy Trax driven by an 18-year-old Scott City man ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
He an a 33-year-old female passenger from Oran, Mo each sustained moderate injuries and were taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries.
