Alton, MO. – A crash that occurred on November 9th has ended with the driver being air-lifted to Springfield for their injuries.
This accident happened at roughly 4pm on Highway P, 3 miles West of Alton. Michael Turner, 59 of Alton, was driving his 2008 Hyundai Accent when he ran off the right side of the roadway. He then overcorrected and ran off the left side of the roadway causing his vehicle to overturn and strike a tree. Turner himself was ejected.

Turner suffered serious injuries in the crash, for which he was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He was not wearing his safety device.
This accident was investigated by Trooper T.D. Pond of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
