Alton, MO. – Early morning on Sunday, April 17th, at roughly 1:00 AM, a 2007 Chevy pick-up was traveling on highway 160 four miles west of Alton when it crashed. The vehicle was driven by Sara Springer, 24 of Alton.
The crash occurred as Springer encountered a deer on the road, swerved to avoid it, exited off the right side of the roadway, and struck an embankment.
The damage to the vehicle was minor, but Springer suffered moderate injuries as a result of the accident, and was transported to Ozarks Healthcare by the Oregon County Ambulance. She was wearing her safety device.
This accident was investigated by Trooper T.D. Pond, of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
