From the Howell County Sherriff’s Department:
Due to a lack of public tips regarding the whereabouts of Rodney Wayne Evans, the Howell County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Fugitive Task Force.
Earlier today, Howell County Deputies Sgt. Seth Smith and Task Force member Jason Long, located Evans in the area of County Road 7300, southwest of West Plains.
Upon contact, Evans attempted to flee on foot, but after a brief pursuit, he was apprehended without further incident. Evans has since been taken into custody and booked into the Howell County Jail.
